About Us
CENNATEK is a provider of R&D and consulting services with a primary focus on the advancement of industrial application of biomass including: biofuels, bio-based lubricants, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals and therapeutics. A major part of this focus has been the development of a comprehensive Analytical Services Lab that CENNATEK has established at the UWO Research Park Sarnia-Lambton Campus in support of the Bioindustrial Innovation Centre. With a long history of research laboratory development, operation, and management CENNATEK will be maintaining and operating this state-of-the-art facility and providing services to the Bioindustrial Innovation Centre, its tenants, and the greater industry in the region.
The analytical lab can provide comprehensive support to industrial and academic clients developing technologies related to the production of:
- Biodiesel – Various sources of feedstock
- Thermal Conversion Processes – Combustion, gasification, and pyrolysis
- Ethanol – 2nd Generation Ethanol Production (Cellulosic Ethanol)
- Biogas – Substrate analysis and validation for effective digestion
